Does he love me back?

I got sick and suspected i had cancer. The guy friend that im in love with freaked out and begged me to go to the hopsital to get checked out. But i have phobia of hospitals, so i refused. But he kept insisting. As if it was a matter of life and death to him. He was so gentle and sweet. For the first time, he used endearments such my darling, my life, sweetie without restraints. He called me honey and darling a couple of times before but i forbade him from doing that again because i wasn't in love with him at the time. But this time, it was different, i was addressed with a series of endearments that appeared to be intense and intentional. Does that mean he is in love with me?

Does what mean he loves you back? The concern he had over your self diagnosis of cancer? No. That doesn't mean he is in love with you. It means he is very concerned about a health issue. Wouldn't you be equally concerned for a friend that thought they had a severe illness? I know I would be and would do anything in my power to comfort them. That is scary stuff and anyone with any sort of compassion would act similarly to the way this guy did. He was just trying to use words to comfort and calm your mind during a very scary time. That is not to say he doesn't love you. It is very possible but I would not hang my hat on compassion for someone as love.
