This was something I read about somewhere

The kid didn't lie about their age, but also was a bit confused about what's happening but liked the attention. From what I know there were no pictures involved and it was over kik, and they had met through omegle when it was a thing.
This child was never given the talk so didn't know whats for what.

The parents took that kids electronics away and home schooled the child.

I just wanted to know what other people would do in the specific situation.

Can you give some more context? Are they face to face or is it anonymous texting? Did my kid lie about his/her age? Is my kid trying to trick someone into sexual stuff or are they the ones being tricked? Can I identify the other person? Has there been any illicit pics/vids exchanged?

Report it to the police and then have a talk with my kid about sex and the risks of sex at any age. And the risks of kidnapping at this age. I'll take away internet access for a while as punishment, and when they get it back, there will be extra parental controls and extra monitoring. Including only having internet in the living room.

well i have twin boys... instead of going mad i would sit them down and explain how they shouldn't watch that yet n for the talking to a pedo... well i will straightaway call the coppers n make sure that man is jailed... n again explain my sons which kind of discussions to avoid with others n how they should come share with me of any such things
