If someone of the opposite gender said stuff that could be interpreted as fishing for/wanting compliments, would you give them a compliment?

Like if a guy posted a picture and said I'm bald, I'm not sure why I went for the style" would you compliment him, and tell him that it looks good/ok? Or if someone got a tattoo, and was like, yeah it's an interesting one, I may regret it, or if someone said I'm trying to be a good person, would you say something like I think you're a very good person?

It depends on the circumstances. If, for example, a girl that I care about asks me how she looks, even if I don't think she looks great that day for whatever reason I might tell her that she looks fantastic.

When women post how do I look posts online I don't respond one way or the other. That's just not healthy. So I wouldn't even want to give them a compliment to encourage them to engage in that kind of unhealthy behavior. Sometimes I feel sorry for them.

The worst ones of all are the ones where they dress up in skimpy outfits with their boobs hanging out or worse and are obviously looking for comments to boost their ego but may not even ask the question. I think those women have issues.

I mean when you see a woman in a bikini holding a cake she just made and the title is "What do you think of my cake?," it's pretty sure she has issues.

And if it's a pie then she definitely does! 😉

Maybe, I always look for genuine compliments I can give people. It's good to spread positivity.

Plus, some people are attention seekers because they never get attention and sometimes all they need to get better is have someone acknowledge them.

Possibly offer a small compliment out of pity, but without letting it sound like it's a "pity compliment"... Be polite, you know?

It genuinely just depends on the situation sometimes people need sone support but I won’t be dishonest with someone.

If they just want to feed their own ego but never do anything for me. Then probably not.
