I like this guy. He told me when he was drunk he likes me. He misheard my reply and thought I rejected him. I didn’t stand my ground and left it. We briefly spoke about what he said but nothing became of it. He’s been super flirty ever since. I don’t usually play games this was accidental. The story is more in depth too so I can’t just lay my feelings out like I would normally do and I would love to do it. He has to make the first move and until then I’m waiting and it’s hella frustrating

If you’re interested in him express it very directly. Otherwise most men will move on especially men who have other options. Why would I give my attention to a woman whose not giving it back? When there are other women who will….

At the same time why waste time in someone whose not interested when there’s people who are.

Many times what happens is when people play stupid games they win stupid prizes, hard to get is one of those stupid games. They end up running off anyone they genuinely wanted while they dudes who just won’t take no for a answer are the type of people they aren’t attracted to at all.

Here’s the scenario. You land your dream job. You don’t have the experience but your new manager believes in you so gives you this amazing opportunity.

Day 1 you meet your staff and instantly fall for a guy on your team. You can’t stop thinking about him to the point where you get no sleep. You and him work very close and get on so well. Meanwhile you are smashing your dream job.

Now as his boss if I approach him it could jeopardise me in the future. He never wants to disappoint me and works hard to please me so I don’t want him to feel like he has to be with me.

All I want is for him to have an open, clear conversation where he tells me how he feels. I need to let him have the control so it’s not influenced by my position over him. I know he likes me but whether he’d want anything to happen is a different story.

It’s frustrating. Then on this night out he told me how he felt but he was really drunk. I started by saying “I’m your boss” my next line was gonna be that he had to take control and that I would never reject him. He took “I’m your boss” as a rejection and didn’t listen to the rest.

But yeah…. When it comes to much more risky situations you just have to assume someone’s not going to approach and they will pick a safer option.

If you feel deep down he's just meant to be then I would go about it. In some cases I can understand taking some extra time.

If you are still interested in pursuing this I t5hink if you told him exactly what happened it would be an unorthodox and creative way of approaching him. These types of chances don't often happen so I;d make the best of it.

I told him and he apologised profusely. I said I didn’t mind I thought it was funny. I was hoping saying that would trigger him to say something while sober.

So now I’m in a situation where we are both flirting like hell, but I don't know whether he does want something to happen and because I’m his boss I don’t want to push it. He doesn’t like to disappoint me as his boss and he always works hard to impress me. I just don’t want him to feel like he has to have me for his job if I move in on him
