I have been in the talking stage with this guy for about a year and a half now, reason being is we have been through a rough start but decided to work on the issues regardless, with that being said we have worked on those issues and things have been going well for a while however he still isn’t taking the next step.. I bring this up to him however he fails to give me a solid answer, am I wasting my time? Is he just playing with me?

Sorry to say…. You are probably 1 of 15 he is talking to and 3 of them he is already in a physical relationship with.
Maybe that’s an exaggeration but single men don’t talk to only one girl and if possible are in a physical relationship and still talking with other girls. That’s just the way we men are.

I don’t think a man is going to waste 1.5 years of his life just trying to get some muff. Unless she’s someone like a Salma Hayek back in the day, not worth it. Exactly what is the next step according to you? His next step according to him may be different.

Well next step to me is being in a relationship.. after one year and a half I don’t know what he is waiting for.. what would he consider the next step at this point if it’s not being together?

Maybe he doesn’t think you’re ready. Maybe he sees things about you that makes him think that. Maybe he’s not ready. What exactly are the things that the two of you have been through?

He's playing you in some way. Maybe just keeping you to the side.

1.5 years of talking stage is ridiculous. A real man even if he doesn't know what he wants should have the courage to be honest. He's stringing you along, but your losses and stop investing time in him

I did.. he claims he loves me and all that bla bla bla but still isn’t taking the next step.. I feel like when a man is sure he will take his chance, I just don’t know what he’s waiting for at this point..
