Can I trust my instinct?

So yesterday, there was a function in my apartment. There were a lot of people there, dancing. There was this one guy in green shirt. I lowkey know him since I was in 4th but developed a little attraction or whatever a little over 3 years ago. He's 4 years older than me. I never felt him looking at me, but yesterday, I don't know what is was, a guy feeling or Instinct i felt him looking at me, and turning back to look at me. My friends told me he was not but I don't know my gut feeling told me he was looking at me. I'm nost sure if I was being delusional or anything but, when I got home, my friends encouraged me to follow him on ig. I've been stalking his insta since 3 years but never followed him. So after I followed him, within 5-7 mins he followed me back, which made me think that what I was thinking was actually true. Should I trust my instinct and go for it?

It seems you're interested in this guy. My guess is your instincts are probably right, but truthfully it doesn't matter. If you're interested in him, give it a shot. Even if you were wrong, if he knows you're interested, he may be willing to go out with you, and who knows where that would lead. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

you should trust your instinct but you should also know that just cause a guy like you may not mean he wants to date you or that youd even like him once you get to know him. He also should put an effort so dont get your hopes too high
