I have a guys item that he wants back. Every time I give him options of when he can get it back he doesn’t take any, why?

I guess he doesn’t want it, at some point it can be considered abandoned property so you can do with it what you want at that point.

Maybe he’s playing games it could be a weird way to keep you taking to him, or maybe he’s too lazy to get it. It could be anything at the end of the day you can just mail it to him. That or tell him he has X amount of time to figure out a way to get it or it’s considered abandoned.

He mentions how expensive this item is even though it’s a piece of clothing that is 3-4 years old.

Well either he will get it or he won’t. At some point you can do with it what you want

Ask how he would prefer to get the item back. If he doesn't give you a response, stick in the mail and block his number.

As for why else he would do this: that's something you're gonna need to ask him.
