Why does he make eye contact with everyone in the group but me?

So, I'm friends with this guy, and we occasionally hang out one on one and it's always fun, and we text frequently, often about our shared interest (we're in a band together) but then at band practice he practically acts like I'm invisible. Like he literally makes eye contact with everyone but me, it almost seems intentional. Why do guys do that? Like sometimes I will literally ask him a direct question and he ignores me.

Sounds like you a little too creepy, desperate, and sad. If he ignores you enough maybe you'll eventually take the hint. Meanwhile he's not making direct eye contact because women that fancy a guy will take a single look and create an entire intricate story around it in her head about he deep down has feelings for her. He doesn't want to encourage any of that. Sorry.
