Which of these terms over text indicate affection more from a guy?

For instance "baby" and "sweetheart" gives me a little sensation whereas sexy and gorgeous are more physical compliments. Or do you think no terms mean anything from a guy and they just throw out whatever?

What about using red love hearts in text like this. ❤️❤️❤️

I like all of those except sexy. Idunno, I always felt like, though gorgeous and sexy are both about physical appearance, gorgeous feels like it is about my face/emotional expression whereas sexy just feels like it refers to my body.

Your description answers your question Crimsy lol. Baby and sweetheart both convey affection, while sexy and gorgeous convey desire.

Now what if someone didn't know how to convey what he wants to convey? Then you have to quit thinking about words and look at the general tone of their speeches, their personality and generally analyse how they, personally, convey affection or desire or both. You can do this!

Haha well in the context I'm thinking of from a personal viewpoint... gorgeous was used like this:
I sent something but then deleted it. He asked what I deleted. I said "wouldn't you like to know" and he said "you don't have to delete anything gorgeous". So is that affectionate?
And in another example.. I said sorry tonight seemed all about me and my pleasure not his and he said "it's fine baby".

So I like that. It's sweet. Buy if I want to say something back like "night night"... I struggle to know what feels right. Like night night handsome? Night night babe? Night night... ? Mister? Darling? Hun? I hesitate at all because none fit. I want to portray affection but not seem like I'm head over heels. And I wonder if as much thought goes into guys head when tapping those letters b-a-b-y. I know some people use it a lot so it fl9ws easily to anybody. But this guy is very non communicative with verbal emotion. And this added layer to his messaging is new.

"you don't have to delete anything gorgeous" is a really good example here.
This wording can be interpreted in several ways, and the key to the "mostly correct" interpretation is to know someone enough. As long as you don't know enough of him, it's a mist you cruise in, hence my statement about not clinging on particular words, instead get a general tone and that's all. First navigate in the mist then, after some time doing that with anyone, things get clearer in communication.

Consider also that anyone's relation to intimacy and language is really personal (when it's not cultural), for example you won't see me using baby or anything of this kind unless I'm really involved emotionally. But that's just me, drawing lines in language to define intimacy. All guys will have a personal way to define or not define intimacy. Hence the only possibility you have is to know someone enough :)

I've been analysing him ten months now lol. I can tell from his texts when he's moody or disengaged. I can tell when he's excited or thrilled. Or bored. Or sad. I am extremely sure he has feelings for me and I can tell when he's feeling vulnerable enough that he's gonna pull away completely. I have asked so many opinions but alas.. some do not see what I see. And some do and say wow yes he's definitely into you. Sometimes he's really sweet. He can read most of my moods very well. But sometimes he's a total jackass and his immaturity and inexperience with women and relationships is a huge neon sign. I feel certain in my knowledge of him but... the heart can very much cast illusion over logic and I fear a lot that I am being love blind.

Gorgeous and sexy although they give an ego boost do definitely feel very ingenuine.

Baby feels impersonal whilst sweetheart feels pitiful like I'm too breakable to love. I don't know the last one might just be me. I would say more personal nicknames or terms of enderments feel more affectionate. Like they have put thought into it to think of something that represents you. I've had a talk guy call me shorty as an enderment which ended up being really sweet. Or Kitten because my nickname is Kit. Even things like cuddle bug, my love, or princess have been things I've been called that were more personalised and held more meaning than babe, baby or sweetheart to me personally.

Yeah, "baby" is usually pretty cheap and doesn't stand out that much. And calling a guy a sweetheart should not be a problem unless he is one of those: "in order to be masculine I must be afraid of anything remotely cutesy or soft" guys.
