What's with the stereotype that white folks don't move out of the way on sidewalks for Ethnics?

Just did a bit of an experiment today, I walked in the middle of the sidewalk, intentionally trying to "bump" into white dudes (who were walking in my direction) to see whether they'd move out of the way-- and to my surprise every single one did move out of the way.

I'm not a dangerous looking dude either. 6'1 and wear a hoodie. No chains or anything like that.
