Baby daddy ghosted but didn't unfriended me. why?

So, I'm just wondering why my baby daddy would go from saying he loves me to hardly talking to me at all? He wanted another chance but I wasn't sure if that would be good. What if we didn't work out again. Then there's a wedge between us. And the we would act ridiculous. Our son would see that.

So I thought just being friends and co- parenting would be for the best. He got mad and went distant. He never calls to speak with our son.

He's still friends with me on Facebook. He posted a picture with a girl. Then 2 days later posts he's in a relationship but doesn't say with who. I'm just wondering why would he ghost my son as well? Why not call him? I don't know it just doesn't make sense to me. I'm pretty sure this girl has been around for a minute. I'm just wondering why he doesn't want to be a dad to out son now? But yet hasn't blocked me? Should I unfriended him? Or friend request his girlfriend and get to know her? Well maybe not that idead. lol
