How to tell if a guy likes you over text?

I recently been talking to this guy where we work as the same company together. We've been talking every day since we've met and we've shared each other's past traumas and stuff. He loves to roast me all the time , we are going for a casual coffee catch up, but hard to tell over text if he likes me or not is there a way to tell.

If he hasn't replied he tells me that he's a bit busy too which is very wholesome.

No, he works in another state so only see him whoever he flies here
