Why did he tell me to not wear anything "crazy"?

My boyfriend who I've been with for a year is in a little band. Tomorrow we are hanging out so I'm going to his band practice with the rest of his group. He told me not to wear anything crazy (even though I don't) I always dress in tight stuff or whatever though. Is this a sign of jealousy that he doesn't want the band to look? Why would he even say that? Lol
