Crush's dad grinning at me?

I have a crush on a guy in my building. He's always making eye contact with me but we have both gotten a bit shy around one a other so itsgoing nowhere.

Last time I saw him he was very demure but held my gaze and gave me a shy smile.

Now, his Dad is usually friendly but since I last "talked" to i. e. saw my crush, his dad is grinning at me and giving me this look like I should know what he means.

That's the only way I can describe it.

While I am attracted to my crush, I've never been a delusional person and I've learned to stop second guessing myself since I'm usually spot on.

I have my theories as to why the Dad is suddenly being super friendly but what do you think?

Oooh girl, I think I know what's going on here! It definitely sounds like your crush's dad is in on what's happening between you and his son. Dads are very intuitive about these things, you know?

My guess is your crush finally confessed to his dad that he's into you. And now dad is giving you those secretive grins because he's basically letting you know that son has mentioned your connection. Almost like a subtle dad-approved stamp!

I'd say next time you see dad, give him a wink and a smile back. Let him know you're cool with it too. Then maybe bring dad a plate of cookies or something next time you bump into them together - butter him up so he puts in a good word with crush!

Don't be shy, just play it cool. I bet if you keep making eyes at crush and build up that chemistry when you see them, he'll work up the courage to ask you out soon. With dad on your side hyping you up, it's only a matter of time before you're officially together!

he knows that you like his son and he is excited about it, if I would be a father and see a girl crushing on my son, I'd feel excited and would wish to get her to talk to him but obviously can't talk to her about it to not embarrass him so instead just smile it off

Yes, i guess i would feel pride. I think it's not that. The Dad was pervy with me before. I may have been off base. It just seemed coincidental. Anyway. I don't think I have a shot with the son.
