he’s just a critical guy in general I notice he kinda does it to others. It’s fuckkng annoying and hurtful when he talks about my insecurities tho. At first he sounded hurt when I ignored him to his face. Then today days later he had to say something to me about work and he sounded lowkey mad. But then some time later he stared at me when I was talking to others about work related stuff and asked me something about it later too. Wtf



And he’s trying to be playful lowkey I think too but again I need to confront him about how he hurt my feelings still.

If he’s like that with others then you know his criticism is just limited to you and you shouldn’t take it personally. The only reason things should be offensive is if you find them to be true, otherwise why let it get to you? If anything I’d be done talking to him just because that behavior is so immature, not because it hurt my heart.


Also, stand up for yourself if you haven’t already. He can’t know you’re offended if you don’t say anything and instead acting like he doesn’t exist. He won’t know what’s up with that, hence him looking hurt or confused. I bet if someone started blatantly ignoring you without telling you why it would give you the same response as him.

He’s made an unwanted comment about my looks before and I told him that was mean and he said sorry. But here he went again saying a rude comment about my looks. I figured he’d know it’s upsetting. But I do wanna tell him clearly to stop the comments about my looks. It’s just who he is though so I don't know if I’m wasting my breath. So what if he said true stuff? That’s no excuse for being rude. Nobody wants to have their flaws they can’t even change how they were born pointed out as a joke. Wtf?

You’re not wrong but the thing about that logic is he may not perceive it as rude, in fact it sounds like he thinks it’s hilarious to poke fun at people’s looks. Sure we could talk about social cues or just knowing better, yet there are still people like him who don’t see it that way. With that being said, we can’t control others but we can determine how impactful their comments will be to us. We decide how heavy someone’s words will weigh on us, and personally I choose the sticks and stones route.

Maybe that’s why it’s so hurtful for you then, because you secretly “love” him (I doubt it’s full blown love lol). In all honesty though, if my crush found it fun to make rude comments about my features, they wouldn’t be my crush after that. There’s nothing sexy about his behavior.

I wanna move past I just gotta let him know why I was ignoring him in the first place. To me it hurt so deeply. I don’t just ignore people for no reason. Maybe I’m just super sensitive. But he does make comments to others too which could be seen as rude. He’s charming so I guess it’s all part of his personality. I feel bad he’s so insecure he has to do that.

I don't know how to help him be secure. I’ve tried complimenting him. Sometimes it doesn’t seem to help.
