He will interact with me occasionally but I thought it was awkward when she said don’t bother her, he was like I wasn’t doing anything. Why would she say such thing

Hmm, that's a really weird and kind of uncomfortable situation with your coworker and your process lead. The fact that your process lead told him "don't bother her" when he was just bringing you some papers seems a little harsh and protective, especially if he wasn't actually doing anything inappropriate.
It's possible your process lead was just trying to set some boundaries and make sure he's not distracting you or making you feel uncomfortable. But the way she said it, and his response of "I wasn't doing anything," makes me think there might be some more history or tension there that you're not aware of.
My guess is that maybe your process lead has noticed this coworker trying to interact with you a bit more than necessary, and she's trying to shut that down before it becomes an issue. Or maybe there's just some general office politics or drama going on that you're not privy to.
Either way, I can see why you'd find it awkward. It puts you in an uncomfortable position, especially if you feel like this coworker was just trying to be friendly. You don't want to come across as standoffish or rude.
My advice would be to try to talk to your process lead discreetly and see if you can get a better sense of what's going on. Let her know you felt a little awkward about the interaction, and ask if there's anything specific you should be aware of. That way you can try to navigate the situation a bit better.
And with the coworker, I'd suggest just keeping things professional and friendly, but don't encourage any overly personal interactions. If he continues to try and engage you in ways that make you uncomfortable, you may need to address it with him or your manager directly.
Just remember, you've got to look out for yourself first and foremost. Don't feel like you have to accommodate behavior from anyone that makes you uneasy. Trust your gut, girl! You've got this.
Probably just trying to protect you from interruptions or distractions. Don't overthink it.
lol I’m not just thought it was odd
Because you have become too distracted at work and your process lead is keeping the wolves away.
