Guys, Why read every message asap if you're not going to respond?

Guy friend reads nearly every text asap, but almost never responds to them. What is the point in this?

For a number of reasons. Mainly because a number of things women text us isn’t that important that it needs a response right away. A lot of times it’s just nonsense. Two, the more you respond the more they continue texting which is basically the same as standing there listening to her ramble on. Three, maybe he just like the attention. He knows he has you wrapped around his finger that you’ll text again even if he doesn’t answer.

Maybe he checks to see if it is urgent and then when he sees it is not he continues with what he was doing.
