Why would a man who clearly likes you not message after you write him a note with your number on it?

It’s been 5 days. We work together (I am temporary) but don’t speak - just intense eye contact. His body language and the fact he Superswiped me on Bumble is a dead certain he likes me. He smiled when he read the note saying ‘would you like to get a drink or coffee sometime? [My number]’. Any suggestions if it’s a slow burn or I’m being rejected? Do you reckon he’s nervous or looking to pursue me in person? I thought the 3 day rule was a thing… but it’s now day 5.

I have to disagree. I didn’t know if I would be working with him anymore so had to do something to show I am interested. I also didn’t see him around for 3 weeks. It’s accomplished what I wanted : he knows I am interested. I could never guarantee getting that across. It may have sucked to you but it did the job.

Yeah! I look at it as now he can feel more confident making a move towards me. Before he had superswiped me on Bumble without knowing if I liked him or not. At least, now he knows. Plus, on Bumble it would have been me making the move anyway.
