Older man at work - I like him but do you think he likes me?

I’m 33 and he is 53. I never thought I would feel this way about an older man but I like him a lot. I was immediately attracted to him when I first met him 6 years ago not only his looks but his personality too.

We became close a few years ago but then he got back with his ex. Because I had developed a ‘crush’ on him I decided to back off but I still liked him. We remained friends though. Then they split up in July - he confided in me and told me everything. Now that he’s single I’m wondering if you think he likes me as he’s older I don’t know if he’s just being nice to me:

He stares a lot, but I stare at him too. The eye contact is intense. During meetings or when he walks by me.

He’s told me he thinks I’m good looking.

He said he liked my boobs in a photo I took wearing a low cut top and said I looked sexy and said you must get guys chasing you then he realised what he said he got really embarrassed.

He calls me Queen.

He compliments me on my outfits, work and photography.

He makes fun of me for little things and jokes around.

We like a lot of the same tv shows, movies and books etc. We are both into the same things. He brings in books for me and leaves them on my desk. He downloads me movies and puts them on my laptop for me to take home.

I bought him chocolates to say thanks, and he ate them all and he left the kind I like in the box and left them on my desk for me.

He tells me all the gossip at work which he shouldn’t be telling me as he’s a manager (not my manager!)

He is extremely touchy, It’s mostly very light brushes with his hand, either on my hands or shoulders. This happens everyday especially my hands when we are talking or he will nudge into me as he walks past every time! I was standing at my table, he walked behind me and got so close to me that my hair got stuck in his lanyard which was around his neck…I do have long hair though.

10+ times I have felt a hand brush my ass cheek and turned around and it was him walking by behind me.

Sounds like he’s interested. But would he go for it is another question? I say that because some men may want a girl to be w someone their own age to have a longer life together. He may feel as though you’re missing out on life being w an older man. I don’t know if that makes sense or not. Plus if he’s got medical issues he may not want to put someone through that who he hasn’t been w all this time or maybe even someone his age. Just talk to him more, show a little interest. Maybe touch his arm more, inquire more about his personal life if he’s open to talk about that. Ask him what he’s doing this weekend. Most men aren’t going to bite. If you’re cute, descent looking you have a chance. As much as women like to think men are really complicated, we’re really not. Women just tend to overthink us.
