Was he saying it cause of me or cause he’s just making a dumb joke to the guy?

This was at work. One of my coworkers and I haven’t been close anymore like chatting at work because he hurt me and I cut him off. I don’t want to talk to him unless he says sorry and doesn’t do it again. So anyway sometimes he seems to interact with me but I’m bitter about it because he should be apologizing for what he did (he knows) not trying to interact like nothing happened.

Anyway, today a guy held the door for me and he was there and said ‘what a gentleman’ to the guy. wtf? I don’t know if he was saying that because of me or just making a joke to the guy. What do you think?

I couldn’t care less either way. I’m just wondering if I’m thinking too deep into it.

Was he saying it cause of me or cause he’s just making a dumb joke to the guy?
