I was cooking when he called me and when I told him I can't talk as I'm cooking he asked what are you cooking... I said nothing that qualifies as nonvegetarian food okay? Give a break. He chuckled as he keeps giving me hard time for eating non veg food as he turned vegetarian after he witnessed how they get killed brutally. I appreciate that he cares about animal but I didn't like the way he makes me feel guilty for eating it. So I told him I will eat meat whenever I want to as I will eat meat for protein and my body needs it for maintaining healthy weight. He chuckled... Said the way I said I will eat meat and my body needs meat made it sound dirty. I went ewwww and laughed... he laughed and imitated me by saying ewwww...

Now I'm wondering whether it was just playful teasing or something more as this guy and I have been talking everyday and lately he don't just show his playful side or tough side... he started opening up a lot. Told me about his childhood.. past relationships.. his bad habits lifestyle.. painful memories.. shared some not so proud moments too but did hesitate as he was afraid I'll judge him. Lately he sings songs to me randomly and said randomly one day he wonders what it's like to date a girl like me. He even got excited when he found out that I can cook and asked me to send him my music playlist. Even talked to me on the phone for 5 hours while eating after 15 hours long flight.

But now this joke made me feel he doesn't just see me as a friend.

Dude definitely seems to like you... more than just as a friend. Guys don't usually open up that much and have 5 hour phone calls with a girl they see as "just a friend."

The eating meat joke is a classic move too - acting like your convo got sexual when it didn't. We do that to tease girls we think are cute.

Getting excited about your cooking and music shows he wants to know more about your life outside of talking. And saying he wonders what dating you would be like... come on, that's the biggest hint!

It sounds like you guys have connected on a deeper level since talking daily for so long. I'd say there's real feelings happening here.
