How do you get over a guy who insulted your appearance at work and won’t say sorry?

He made a mean joke and he asked right after “are you mad at me?” So obviously he knows how wrong it is.

So I began ignoring him but I felt bad right away because his voice sounded hurt.

so I started being open to being at least nice like saying hi if he said it. So now we greets me occasionally. I do not do it first. And sometimes has offered help at work or tried to interact in a jokey way.

We used to talk a lot at work. He was always trying to get closer to me. To then turn and put me down randomly is so insane to me. And then refuse to say sorry? Why is he trying to interact randomly but can’t say sorry?

Simple. Any time he says anything to you that isn't "sorry" pretend not to have heard him and ask "SORRY, what did you say?" Repeat this until he either says sorry or says nevermind & shuts up

If ur actually gonna try this I recommend bringing up the time he insulted you and didn't apologize first, that way he knows why ur doing it/what he's apologizing for. But either way good luck

Call him on it if he does it publicly. Take notes: date, time, what was said, who was present. If it's intolerable, consider going to management.
