I was with my boyfriend when my mom buzzed and it was an important message from my mom which I had to reply immediately. My boyfriend slapped me (with moderate intensity) and instantly felt and said sorry. It was an impulse. Before this he has slapped me lightly sexually in bed. I am confused, how can some guy slap a girl whom he loves and respects and wants to spend life with? One correction about the age: I am 25 and he is 32.

Respect? No, but we say and do many things when our emotions take over that we wouldn't say or normally do. Your emotions are not balanced, which caused you to hit someone, and that is never okay; I would suggest therapy to address your underlying issues.

The sexual slapping is not a problem, unless you didn't want it, and he knew it. The slap is extremely concerning. Obviously, he feels sorry all abusers do (or say so). You either need to break up or make sure he never does that again.
