How can you hit the wrong button? You have to literally hit add to friend.

an accidental click of the mouse.
Your hand is all poised and set to delete Ruby and as you scroll past the names and oh schmidt I deleted redlollipopxi by accident, so I add her back on the friend list and go on to make ruby history, or just ask him.
It wasn't my week to watch him, so I'm just guessing.
