Is a "man cold" a real thing?

When my boyfriend gets a cold, you would think he is about to die. I do take care of him though. It is kind of cute. My friend says her man does the same thing. Yet, when a man hits himself on the finger with a hammer by accident, it doesn't seem to faze him. I read that women can handle more long term pain, and guys more severe sharper pains. Does anybody else share these experiences? Just curious.

This I reckon is a bizarre question because of all the bullshit we went though with Covid , where if you walked outside with a cold you were a murderer , not sure I can answer it.. BUT..

Take me back to my 20s , my solution for a bad cold then , was double the dose of ( Real ) Cold tablets , if it said 2 , take 4 , Put on two tracksuits , 2 x doonas on bed , 3 quick nips ( 3 glasses ) Scotch and diet coke.. Boom = FLAKE.

Wake in a pile of sweat , hot shower and for about 15 mins feel great , then it would kick back in , but overall I was rarely sick and I got over it quick , from my experience women let it linger longer.

Ps ; Do not try this at home , although incredible dreams in techno ( Psedo , in tabs )

Scientists found that men actually are affected more by flu and cold. That said... I don't think the other part of it is that when a man is sick he can see it as a test of whether his woman i willing to give back that tiny, tiny, tiny fraction of what he is expected to give her the other 99% of the time. A guy won't die if he's on his own 100%.

The hammer thing: part of that is just that guys grow up (at least when I grew up) knowing nobody cares if a guy is in pain or cries. He becomes tougher as a result. Mentally tough. Same reason why he can deal with wild animals that would make most women scream in terror.

Yeah my husband turns into a big bitch baby when he's sick. I've just learned to be nice and let him go sleep his cold off lol

Yea I'm a big baby when I'm puking and shitting my guts out or can't breathe from coughing so much.

It's stupid. If I'm sick enough that I'm making a big deal out of it and my girl takes care of me for a couple days, it's not cause I have the sniffles. If I just have a cold, you'd probably never know, because like most people, I just suck it up.

Beats me. I haven’t been sick in years. The last time I was my now ex-fiancé I just told her to let me sleep it off. I did and I was fine.
