Have you ever had to mansplain what having a ‘man cold’ is like?

I thought it was just common knowledge that men experience far worse cold and flu symptoms than women. I've been sick the last few days and have had to Mansplain myself a number of times!

I also think there is a pysch aspect for us as well. Because we feel sub optimal physically it hits our confidence. And whilst it is OK for women to be victims men aren't allowed to be.

Lmao it's so stupid to I've split my head open and still finished the day out at work. But when I catch a cold I literally feel like superman when he comes across green kryptonite on the ground struggling to even crawl to bed /=.

I'm right there with ya. I herniated my L4 L5 and got taken to the hospital in an ambulance but still showed up for work the next day. When I get sick I have no patience for anyone and just want to break things. Lol

Man flu is obviously more serious than the female variety, or it affects males more than females.

But I've never had to mansplain because I'm single.

Though I've never had a cold or flu for years, I'm sure it's because of my cycling in all weathers, it seems to make me immune from these illnesses.

I'm sure I'm just a typical male, and I don't make a big deal out of illnesses, so if we are struck down with something like man flu, like you have, it's something serious when we stop functioning, and need to take time off work etc.

I hope your partner will be more understanding, and you soon make a full recovery.

I've never had to explain, or mansplain, what a cold/flu feels like, because I've literally never had one that bad.

Most of the time, when I hear a guy talk about "man flu," I just think he's a pussy. When I get sick, I keep going, because nobody is going to take care of me, and I can't just lay there and die.

Granted, I also have autoimmune conditions which are much worse than a piddly cold, and I live every day of my life in misery, anyway, so a cold/flu just seems like nothing to bitch about. 🤷‍♂️
