What does it mean when he says “you can sleep at my house” when I say that I got no sleep because of my family?

For context, I worked a night shift and came back in the morning to hopefully get some sleep. A few hours into sleeping, my family ends up waking me up by being loud, etc. The next day, I’m with some friends talking about this. I jokingly complain how I was so mad when my family woke me up from my sleep because I was still tired from working. Then this guy (who I’ve been suspecting has some feelings for me) straight out says “you could just sleep at my house, there’s like no one there”. That caught me off guard. Most people just laughed at my story and whatnot but his response was different and a bit out of pocket.
Guys, what would it mean if you said this a girl? I may just be overthinking it but I really don’t know. Also I want to add that we do live close together like 10 minutes away and I’ve picked him up a couple of times so I know where he lives too.
I’m curious to what other’s opinions are. Thanks!
