I used to have this colleague that I had a crush on when I first joined the company. However, he would always dismiss me quickly or even reply somewhat rudely when I talk to him. Later, I saw how he enthusiastically talked to another female colleague and thought he might be liking someone else, hence his attitude towards me.

Then, 1-2 years passed and i would see him seemingly interested in this colleague, that colleague and i thought maybe he's a playboy. Until one fine day, he suddenly tried to get my attention and was all nervous and shy around me. He wasn't shy at all with other girls. When I ignored him and showed disinterest, he was visibly disappointed.

I left the company and didn't hear from him. Few months later, I contacted him as a customer of his side business and he did not know it was me until we meet up. He was not shy or nervous, and I think I saw a love message on his phone that was sent to him by some girl.

Given how fast he moved on and his attitude towards me in the beginning, how likely that his liking for me was real?
