A guy-friend said that I'm cute. And I just wanted to know if cute coming from a guy means he finds me attractive?

I have secret feelings for him but we've just been hanging out as friends. In the past he has complimented my artistic talents and the quirks of my personality and that I "glow" but nothing about my looks.

Then the other day he brought up something I did and said: "you were cute when you did that"... I have been looking for signs he finds me physically attractive.
