Do guys not use as many hair products or personal care products as women?

I heard a joke the other day that we women use body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, and so on. Guys have the all in one body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, etc. all in one bottle. I was laughing because there is some truth to this based on what I use and what my boyfriend uses. I would like to know how true this is for most of you because I realize there are exceptions. Do we women really use more products in individual bottles, and guys use all in one. LOL! Guys that do this I suppose it seems practical enough. LOL!

It depends on the guy, so it's kind of situational.

When I was younger, I had long hair, and I used shampoo, conditioner, leave in treatment, hot oil, etc. Basically the whole nine yards, and I knew other long haired guys that did, too. (It was a style, lol).

After I cut & donated my hair, I stopped giving a crap, and just went with the 3-in1 crap. It sucked, and it made my hair suck, but I wasn't trying to maintain long, flowing locks, anymore.

A lot of guys are the same way. When you have less hair, it just doesn't seem worth the effort to use all the fancy products in order to make it "hair commercial ready". We're pragmatic; as long as it's clean, and looks decent, we're good.

Of course, now I shave my head, so I just use body wash from head to toe. Much easier. 😁

Yes a lot of men just use an all in one wash. I wouldn’t be surprised if that all in one wash is good for washing dishes too, car washes, washing my dog, washing clothes, etc. Men aren’t as obsessed w beauty, or looking young like women are. Some are, but men have more serious concerns in life than to be concerned w what we look like. I’m not sure how much of those products women use actually work. These industries know how women are so they play on women’s emotions as far as beauty, staying young, etc. It’s a million, maybe even trillion dollar industry on all the products these companies sell to women.

Yes. Why do you think women’s products cause more than men’s? Because most men aren’t picky about what we use. Sometimes I use my body wash on my hair. My hair is thick, nice and black. Don’t use conditioner either.

Yes. I read an article the other day that a company can market the same exact product (one to women and one to men), but the one marketed to women costs more. This is apparently known as the "pink tax." Fascinating!

Yes because they know women want the pink bicycle helmet with flowers, hearts or whatever while men just settle for a simple, one colored helmet. Not all. But women want things that are cute, look pretty. For most men it’s not emotionally based.

lol so of course we know that if someone wants something different, maybe even personalized it’s going to cost more. I think a lot of women think of that more as sexism toward women. Not so much that they want a helmet that has extra colors w extra designs and what not. I see that too, especially on social media about women complaining why do I have to pay more than a man. But there’s logical reasons for why.

I would say no to be honest besides dandruff shampoo I don’t think the men I know have that much hair products. Even when I had short hair I stopped using grease because I found just rubbing your hair with water and brushing it could make my hair just how I wanted it with out the build up of grease

I believe it is totally true from my observations. In my case I have two bottles. One shampoo/conditioner and one body wash whereas some women have a cabinet full of bottles.

I use soap to shower with and shampoo to wash my hair. I used to use conditioner a long time ago but, all it did was make my hair greasy so, I stopped.
