Why do men say they wanna b friends then treat u like there woman then when the woman express herself it’s oh we’re just friends

Women need to start understanding that single, straight men are not looking to uphold platonic, opposite sex friendships unless they start to benefit from it in other ways.


There have to be very specific boundaries in place, like maybe they’re coworkers or mutuals in some way and don’t want to cross those lines. Maybe one (or both) of them are taken already, or even sexual orientation where one (or both) of them are part of the LGBTQ+ community. But under regular circumstances, that connection will most likely not remain purely platonic from start to finish. It just won’t.


You and your friend have crossed lines and now there is no going back to the simple connection you once had. It’s been complicated by romantic boundaries being crossed/explored. All this to say, you should choose a lane with this guy. If a relationship isn’t on the table then you should take a big step back into the friendzone. Which means no more flirting, touching or anything that could confuse/mislead you again. It’s most likely things would change between you guys since he probably only wants to be “friends” if he can continue doing what he’s doing, but if I were you I wouldn’t entertain that. Your heart is on the line now and I don't know about you but I would want to protect that at all costs.
