My ex-fling threatened to get a restraining order on me, but keeps calling me and tries to sit beside me?

I blocked my ex-fling almost a year ago after ending things. He is accusing me of stalking and harassing him (when in fact, I’ve tried to avoid him and have not contacted him) and has threatened me with a restraining order.

Yesterday, at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner, he tried to sit beside me despite my handbag and coat being in the seat beside me and there were other near by seats at the table. I told him that the seat was taken.

If I’m stalking and harassing him, why is he trying to sit beside me?

Get a restraining order against him. He sounds dangerous.

I wouldn’t say than he’s dangerous. He’s just weird and annoying. He said that he had evidence that I was on his property, when I haven’t been over there since he invited me over in February of last year.

I don’t think I can get a restraining order against him since I don’t have evidence that he is harassing me.

He tried to sit beside me at the table although there were other nearby empty seats and my belongings were in the seat. If I felt the need to file a restraining order against someone, I’m not going to willingly sit beside them. 🤷🏽‍♀️
