Uber driver asked to use my bathroom. Then let himself in my house without my permission. What should I do?

I returned home from a weekend trip. I got picked up at the airport by an Uber driver. My driver had dark skin, short dreadlocks, and was wearing grey sweatpants. He was a young guy - around my age. We made small talk on the drive home. He was actually probably the nicest Uber driver I’ve ever had. Very friendly and super easy to talk to. I found the conversation very enjoyable. When we pulled up at my house, he asked me if he could go inside to use my bathroom. He said bluntly that he needed to pee quite badly.

Ordinarily, I would’ve definitely said no, but because he was such a nice guy, I hesitated. While I was hesitating, he got out of the car and came over to help me with my luggage. He was tall, slender, and his sweatpants had the logo of the university basketball team on them. We walked to the door of my apartment (I still hadn’t said yes to him using my bathroom!!). When I opened the door, HE walked in first, and then went off to find my bathroom. When he found the bathroom, he didn’t make any effort at being quiet. I heard the sound of the toilet seat being lifted up. Then he proceeded to have the loudest, longest pee ever. He was obviously standing to pee. His etiquette was terrible. He left the toilet seat up, I found out after he left. But worst of all, he didn’t even wait for me to say yes after he asked me about using my bathroom! When he had finally finished peeing, he came out of the bathroom. He thanked me and then left. His car was still sitting outside with the engine running.

Even though he was wearing basketball sweatpants, I couldn’t find his name on the university basketball team’s current roster when I looked it up online. But he did play basketball in the past. He’s 22 years old and graduated university last year.

Mmmmm. Not sure I believe this story. Sounds like somebody just trying to hate on a black guy, especially how you note he had dark skin and dreads. You might not even be a female account either.

But if your story is true, there's nothing you could really do at this point but complain to Uber about it, and even that might be tricky if you didn't get anything on camera with him barging into your house.

Completely awkward situation you were in. I think i would give him a bit of grace cause it was obvious at the end point he needed the bathroom and I'm sure if the situation was reversed you'd want to be able to use it too. On the other hand, a stranger entered your home and could have been dangerous to you or anyone else living in the home.

I'd probably let this one slide since nothing happened, but I'd certainly be more cautious about my drivers in the future.

Lmao damn, I guess he took your hesitation as a yes or he thought he found a loophole by bringing in your stuff, a long with the help of his bladder almost exploding he had to go so he did, he definitely should've asked for permission, I can't say I would've let it slide but I guess it could've been much worse
