My roommate put a hidden camera in my shower I am already kicking him out should I call the police?

I found a hidden camera over my shower, there is a light fixture above my shower and I had to take it apart yesterday because the bulb burned out. When I did I found a small box in the light fixture and it was obviously a camera. My friend was with me at my house helping me change the lightbulb I immediately started to panic thinking that someone was spying on me in the shower. I immediately suspected my roommate because lately he has been a little strange and getting too personal. My friend did a little investigating around the house and found a receiver for the camera in my roommates room and it kind of looked like a small PlayStation except for the screen showed what was on the camera. When we found it I went and put the camera back in the light fixture and stood in my shower and my friend said that he could see me plane as day in the shower. We got to messing around with the receiver and found six videos of me taking a shower that was saved on the receiver and one of them was of me pleasuring myself in the shower. I was shocked and very embarrassed also because my friend that was there was seeing the videos also. I told him that I found the camera and he did admit to spying on me I told him to pack his sh*t and get out. My friend is trying to convince me to call the cops do you think that I should call the cops or just kick him out and leave it at that?

When I did confront him and he can claim he told me that there was an entire CD with like an hour and 20 minutes video of me taking a shower. This creep could have been watching me for months when I put the CD in a CD player it dated back all the way to January when I was still with my ex-boyfriend. The CD had like a 20 minute video of me and my ex-boyfriend having sex in the shower. When I told him to get out of the house I slapped him across the face and told him that I hated him

Call the police. It is against the law to invade someone's privacy via hidden camera. You got a good case. Having the hidden camera placed in the shower will go to your advantage too. The video might end up on the internet which could hurt your future in various ways. You will be thanked for reporting him because he could do it to other people in the future. Make sure to take the camera and the box with the videos with you so you have clear proof.

I don't think they will do anything. The most you could do is probably sue him IF he published the footage or showed it to someone else.
A better thing to do would be to call a lawyer and see if there is any legal action you can take against him.
