What Should I Do if I Suspect Someone Is Stalking Me?

I’ve been feeling increasingly uncomfortable about someone I know from school. He works a few minutes away from my workplace, but I’ve noticed him following me several times. He always stays behind me and mirrors my movements. On the second time I altered my route, he gave me a cold, emotionless stare, similar to what I’d expect from a psychopath. I also suspect he may have liked me in the past because I overheard his friends teasing him about me. Has anyone gone through something similar? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Why do people stalk, that's so weird, I recommend telling someone a family member or something in case he ever decides to do anything then you family know where to start and carry something to defend yourself with
