He will talk to others like he always does even tho he might be just a bit quiet than usual but today he is completely ignoring me and like I won’t ask for apology bc I didn’t do anything wrong he was the one who said hurtful things towards me, and I didn’t agree, but so like should I just let it go , it just brothers me a little bit bc I talk to the people he does so if he approaches them I can’t speak bc his there ugh I don't know

You neither need to apologise nor you need to let it go when he hurted you. You can simply act as normal without letting it go. For example if he is talking with group and you need to join that too then you can simply join it, ignoring that he is also there. And if you have to talk to him regarding work you can talk just like as if he is some stranger and you can only keep contact with him as much as work related things only.

I’d just cut him lose. For some reason men who are flamboyant seem to be worse than women when it comes to things like that. Gossip, getting offended quick, etc, etc. If you truly feel that you did nothing wrong then I don’t see why you should apologize. When you analyze the situation can you say you truly did nothing wrong? If so then give him his walking papers. More than likely he’s like most people, stuck in their ways. If you don’t agree then there’s something wrong w you according to them. What did you not agree w? What did he say that was hurtful?
