When a guy says maybe we will cross paths again, is it just bs?

This is what a guy said to me (we dated during the summer)

Maybe we will cross paths in the future but for now, go find someone who makes you happy that’s not me. I won’t dismiss the possibility in the future but I need to find my way right now and I don’t wanna have you wait on me while I’m in this process of my life.

I sent him a letter in the mail expressing my feelings. And when I asked him if he got my package. He said he did and that the letter was nice and thoughtful.

Basically, what it means is that he leaves a door open for HIMSELF in case he changes his mind and needs a substitute for fornication. He has had enough for you and is moving to the next victim and target. You were good and nice while it lasted but now, you are no longer a novelty and you lost interest to him.

When stating that the paths may cross again, he simply states that he may contact you again when the time has come. It is not meant for you to contact him but only the other way round.

That guy is a player and you fell for his scheme. Move on because there is nothing positive about that guy.

When a guy states "... find someone who makes you happy that’s not me..." after a Summer of fornication, it is clear that he had enough of you and he wants to move on. That is the behavior of a player and a toxic person.

It sounds like he cares about you but is not in a place where he can be in a relationship right now. His message seems sincere he is leaving the door open for the future, but he’s also making it clear that he doesn’t want you to wait for him. It’s good that he appreciated your letter, but I think the bigger question is: Do you want to put your energy into someone who i not ready, or would it be better to focus on someone who is?
