If a guy has an emotional reaction to you (like angry, offended etc) does it mean he’s emotionally invested?

Of course I’m not talking about every single situation, but if he finds out you used a friends meme account to look at his socials instead of adding him directly, and then he found out in real time and looked angry and offended and told his brother about it that somewhat knows you, does it mean he was emotionally invested in you? As my brothers have a lot of girls that are attracted to them and stalk their social media all the time and literally come and tell me. He doesn’t care about them at all.

Difficult to say because it depends mostly on someone's personality.
I do know that one thing is certain...
If he didn't care about you at all he definitly wasn't emotionally affected by you.

Just understand that feeling sad in a way that you want to cry and being angry are emotions that are connected together.

As a guy I was raised and told by society that real men don't cry because it will make you weak which is something lots of guys struggle with. We are essentially being told that we are weak if we cry and that only weak men cry.

But I learned that if I feel sad to a point that I want to cry, then Im going to cry no matter what other people think about it. Because if I dont let my tears come out...
Those tears will be gone and my feeling of sadness will turn into a severe form of anger/frustration.

So if a guy becomes angry/frustrated he is either feeling sad/hurt or he is angry/frustrated because you disrespected him in his mind.

I enjoyed reading this, thanks for your detailed response. Just for the record, most women honestly appreciate a guy that’s open with his feelings. Of course there’s a limited to how emotional you can be, even for women but men crying is not a turn off. If anything it kind of encourages the nurturer in us to come and support you.

I think it can dependent on personality / character and mood a little but generally speaking you will get emotion , negative and positive , when it’s something or someone that person cares about unless they are playing mind games with you.
So yeah you could say emotionally invested


I have met people that are so horizontal though that it’s hard to any emotionally signaling from them. I find these folk the hardest to work with being a very expressive , communicative and passionate man.

Personally, I'd say NO. If you're pissing him off you're causing him to pull away rather than to invest time and effort in getting to know or understand you. Investment is a two-way street. Seems like you (or whatever girl you're talking about) did some shady stalker-level stuff on social media for no reason. That's no way to attract a guy. If the guy is talking negatively about you he's not "emotionally invested".

But I'd like to see how the guys weigh in on this question.

It really depends on the context and stuff. Sometimes when I get upset and angry it is because you let me down or said something that really hurt. Most men show angry because anything besides that is showing weakness in most girl's eyes. That will send them packing there bags faster then anything.
