Random college classmate gave me a note asking if im single?

so basically this guy in my lecture hall was sitting a row behind me when a couple minutes later he later sat a seat directly above me. Then he later was like "yo excuse me" and passed me a note asking if I'm single. On the back of the note, there was an erased part stating "what's your digits?" After I took and read the note, I just put it aside and ignored it. He later got up and left the class. I don't think I'm his type and wanted to know if it was a prank or dare or if he was genuinely asking me and thought I was pretty.
