How to casually ask if someone is single?

How do I ask this guy, who works in the same building as me, if he is single? but not make it awkward? by the way Seniors in HS

When I was trying to do the same thing, first, we happened to have a mutual friend that had been dating a mutual acquaintance, and I was planning on asking him about whether they were still dating or not, then I would segue towards asking "what about you... you dating anyone?"

But, the conversation just happened to go in the direction of his roommate who was moving in with his girlfriend, and since we were on the topic of girlfriends I asked about his.

You just have to find or make a conversation opening to not be so obvious and out of the blue.

One day 'pretend' to need help and be like ... ______ would you be a dear and help me with this box, it's to heavy for me. ( make him feel manly in the process) and once that done. Be like aww your girlfriends such a lucky girl...

mention something about his girlfriend, if that makes sense. talk like you assume he has a girlfriend and wait for him to confirm or clarify.

I don't ever worry about if a girl is single. If her body language and conversation shows interest she is either single or a cheat. Otherwise she is likely to be very defensive. I never ask.

The only reason to ask if someone is single is to show your interest in dating them. Just do it, why be covert about it? It is what it is, a direct statement that you would like to date him. If you don't want it to be awkward, say it with confidence and keep going straight forward in your path to go out with him. The only time it seems awkward is when your confidence waivers, you back track on your goal, and get anxious. If you act like it is a normal thing to say, other people will accept it.

u just say "oh your Girlfriend something something,..." and hell either say ya my girlfriend is...blah blah blah

Say something like "I heard you have a really pretty girlfriend." and how he responds will tell you.
