Why does a guy talk about his ex when he's just met someone new?

I've been guilty of this but I was married for 14 years and hard to avoid when that much of your history involves them. It's probably just unintentional probably sharing those life experiences. I can't even remember what it was like to feel desire for my ex wife. So it always irked me when people I date judged me talking about my marriage. It's not always a sign of a hangup. Now if they dated for a year and all they can do is talk about their ex not a good sign.

Because he's not over her, and he's not ready to date someone new. After divorcing I never discussed my ex with dates. I wanted to move forward, and besides, negativity is very unattractive.
