This guys acts like he likes me in person but then never texts/calls?

Ok I saw this guy the other day and as soon as he saw me coming, he smiled and got up from where he was sitting and gave me a nice hug and started chatting to me about stuff. Lots of eye contact, etc.

He hugged me goodbye too when it was time for me to go.

I've hung out with him before and we had a great time. Good conversation and he gave me a really tight hug.

But he never texts me or calls me to ask me to hang out? I told him to text me but he never did. So I texted him last night and he didn't know it was me. I think his phone messes up a lot but before that if he didn't have my number...he didn't offer to get it from me again.

Why does he act like he likes me but then never does anything about it? I'm totally out of his league (i'm even older than him) and I'm pretty sure I've made myself available to him but he doesn't wanna snatch that up. I don't get it.

So I saw him today and he acted all friendly and hugged me and stuff and then said "I'll call you."

It could be one of the these two:

1) He isn't interested the way you want. He's just acting nice with you.

2) He doesn't think there's any future between you guys, so he doesn't want to lead you on or set high hopes for himself.

I'd say make a clear move on him. Plan a date and ask him out. If he made up excuses, then forget about him.

he might think you only like him as a friend. Next time you see him in person tell him you should hang out sometime but don't make any details. And then text him later asking when and where he is gonna take you somewhere. And since you out of his league you might need to hint more that you want him to hit on u

well he can't take a hint or doesn't like you in that way. In either case straight out tell him your interested. You will get your answer then. Worst thing that will happen is ul have a awkwurd moment and he tells you he doesn't like you like that. Or he could like you and you could stop wasteing time with hints

If you're out of his league it's possible he knows this and is shy to make a move in fear of comprimising things as they are between you two.
