He acts interested in person, but doesn't text me back?

He uses my name whenever he can in conversation, asks for hugs, makes sure to greet me even if I'm physically far away, and seems interested in my life (remembering small details).

I gave him my number and he didn't do anything with it; so I asked him for his, which he happily gave me. When I text him he takes a long time to get back or not at all. I asked him (last minute) to hangout but he couldn't go. I'm confused

Well maybe he isn't much of a texter. Plus you already asked to hang out so let him do his part. Let him put effort if he is interested

That's a fair point. My last relationship didn't end well and I know have a lot to work through if I want to try again. I get excited and a bit impatient

Yeah the less you do sometimes the more you get. Guys like a chase. So it's best to not wait for a reply or text and if he is interested he will reach out because men are hunters so if you are too easy then there isn't much effort to put. So let him sense you are a high valued woman that if he doesn't want to wine and dine you that there are other fish in the see and you won't be waiting around for him

Social media frequently says if he likes you he'd text/call because he wants to talk. It's stupid I know, but I just wanted to know if I was crazy or misreading anything
