Why would married guy get jealous when a girl talks to other guys?

A married guy I know gets jealous when I talk to other guys, he kind of breathes heavy like trying not to say anything. He hovers around me when I talk to guy friends in an obvious way and does it multiple times, but why does he do this when he has a wife?

The other thing is he rarely ever mentions her to me, he talks about his life, but it almost feels like he has to rethink his answer when I say him basic things like how was his weekend, because he never mentions her. What gives?

Because he likes you. Doesn’t matter that he’s married. Same reason a lot of other men check out Penelope w other women when they’re married or have a girlfriend. The jealousy part honestly he has no reason to be jealous. Maybe you pay a lot more attention to him. Maybe he’s a friend or something g. So when you’re talking to other men he’s not getting that attention he wants. He’s feeling threatened by other men that he could lose you even though he never had you to begin w. Same reason why men get mad when their friends with benefits starts sleeping w another dude besides him. In his eyes she belongs to him even though he doesn’t want a relationship w her. He gets what he wants from her, attention as well as sex.

Thanks for this, yes I think you’re right. Maybe I have paid him a fair bit of attention before, but backed off when I realised he was married. Maybe he was getting attention withdrawals. Does that mean he’s just missing the attention rather than me? It definitely seemed to be when I backed off that he became full on again.

Could be both. Hard to say. He may actually like you, especially if you’re cute. But it could also just the attention. Like a lot of women don’t like a lot of men, they’d never go out w him but they love the attention they give her. So when he moves on, finds a girl. All of a sudden t she’s wondering why he doesn’t give her attention no more. It’s like wait a minute you didn’t even have an interest in him to begin w but now you’re upset he moved on.
