In a patriarchy, no. The things men want to have from women are the things men have been sociologically projecting onto women since before the concept was discovered. When men say “Oh, women have it so much better than guys” they are referring to the pettiest shit like dating and sexual access, as if their attitudes are not directly linked to why they’re single with dry dicks. Yes it is extremely easy for a sexual object to find someone willing to have sex with them, but they do not have the same respects of personhood afforded to men and are simultaneously the victim and the party at fault when said sexual object gets assaulted or raped (i. e. “what were you wearing?” Or “you shouldn’t have done that, it’s leading him on” etc.). When men say women have it better, they’re just ignorant losers who can’t understand why women don’t like them. They are the human incarnation of the most shallow puddles in existence and believe women to be the same. The reality is you are comparing a puddle on the sidewalk to the fucking ocean. Most women experience some form of ego death around the same time they hit puberty and recognize that society has now simultaneously placed them in the category of “slut/prude/innocent virgin in need of corruption” against their will and they see first hand just how much society will always favor men.
