Guys, Men and Emotions?

Curious as to why males are more than capable of deciphering emotional situations, having empathy and being sympathetic for women who aren’t their partner/girlfriend but when it comes to their girlfriend/partner/person they’re seeing they can’t and don’t have these abilities?
Is it just pure ignorance or overwhelm?

Well this depends on the man but I will say that most men do have empathy and sympathy for their partners unless he’s a dark personality. But narcissistic people don’t build genuine connections but also need supply outside the relationship so they will venture out to get approval and attention from others.

Some people are just not aware though that’s why adults need to communicate with one another and just expect someone else to read their mind and play petty games because that never leads to anywhere good. But if someone communicates like a adult and the other person doesn’t that’s a issue too.

At the end of the day if the emotional labor seems one sided that you’re putting the effort into him but getting little to none in return. It’s probably best to break it off.

Im not sure it is just the men that do this but more all people in general. I think it really goes both ways. Psychologically speaking to this specific example it may have more to do with how his wife/girlfriend handles things when the roles are reversed and he feels unheard when he expresses his own emotions/feelings to her. If people feel their needs/feelings aren’t being heard they typically are less receptive to their partner expressing their needs/feelings. Its just simple psychology that people tend to tune out their partners as opposed to others when they feel they are not heard themselves.

Probably because w his girl it’s a constant thing. Women cry about the smallest things. Example this girl at work got her feelings hurt cause some other co-workers didn’t invite her out w them to lunch. It gets annoying after a while. W someone who he doesn’t know it may be a once in a while thing too. The other thing is he’s trying to get between her legs so he’s willing to engage in that if it means possibly sleeping w her.

Because whether you want to believe it or not that’s how a lot of men are. A lot of times men don’t care about the things you women care about. We act like we don’t get what we want. Just as women tend to act certain ways to get what they want. You Amy not like that answer but that’s something not many men will tell you. It’s the same as male and female friends. There are a million things that women do that shouldn't be. Men often fascinate about being able to share more than just emotions with another woman. Life with one woman is just plain boring and hearing her same problems everyday just gets old as do other aspects of the relationship. We need excitement in our lives.

Man show empathy and understanding to other person who is in the same situation as man and girlfriend.
Why man no care about own situation with girlfriend but care about other person.
