I asked him and he’s liked the message but not answered the question
but he’s talked about his family
and send pictures and video of his family but not directly answered the question

Depends on the occasion and the reason for it. I don´t like to talk about my feelings if there´s no need or no reason to do so. I can´t talk about them out of the blue with a person I don´t know much because my feelings are the most precious thing I have.

One thing you have to understand about this: when we're kids and even older teens, and even as adults, showing emotion is looked down upon, especially by other guys!! Therefore, in order to keep from being made fun of for it and even getting beaten up for it, we are, essentially TRAINED NOT to show emotion! We're also taught that girls don't like it when guys show their emotions because they'll lose respect for us and simply don't want a guy that isn't strong enough to protect them.

I have a hard time being open with my feelings. As a man we are basically taught that if you have feelings you are weaker. And while I know that's a function of how I was raised and that it isn't accurate I don't know how to properly convey how I'm feeling.
Definitely trying to work on it and even reached out to a therapist but it is genuinely hard for me

These 30 and younger have gotten in touch with their feminine side, so talk to them all you want about feelings. For over 30 something we do not like to show weakness so we suppress our feelings, then when things start getting on our nerves we go to the bars and start bar fights. I think it might just be contextual. For example, I think many guys can talk very passionately about their feelings towards sports if they are sports fans.

I see. Well, I did struggle when girls asked me things like, "Why do you love me?" I'd usually want to make a joke out of it like, "I love your butt." :-D But you know, the reason it's difficult for me to avoid being humorous here is that I don't know why I love them. I could fill a book with all the things I know about them, their quirks, their habits, their looks, their mannerisms, their favorite things, and I still don't know why I love them. Maybe I just love all of it.

Whereas girls seem to be able to say like, "I love you because you're smart, because you're a good man," or something precise like this. But I'm not sure that's because they're in better touch with their emotions or if they just love fewer things about me that makes it easier to narrow down.

Society has made men incapable of it. I wouldn't say hate it, though there are likely a lot that do. But it is discouraged in our socialization, unfortunately. The ones who do not have a problem with it, they probably had a much easier upbringing
