Why do guys shy away from talking about their feelings?

Because most of us know that's when a woman decides to cheat on us, because we showed feelings.

Okay that was an extreme example. They lose respect for us though.

It's one of those things women claim they want from men, and then they fucking hate it when they find it from a man. Any man with half a brain that's ever even heard of this concept and wants to keep a chick, is probably going to play it safe and not gamble his relationship just so he can have pity parties, cry sessions and emotional breakdowns.

Ladies, just be glad we still express frustration when dealing with your stupid bullshit. That's enough emotion, and probably too much emotion for most of you already. We're designed to fix problems instead of wallow in them with our feels about it. Just don't expect a dude to be a chick. Go lesbo if that's what you want.

Fun fact: Lesbian relationship has higher rates of domestic abuse than male-female relationships. Sort of makes me wonder what kind of guy ends up getting into spats with a chick... just saying.

We've spent most of our lives being told not to show too many feelings, and if we try to, a lot of people don't react positively to it.

Doesn't mean they attack us or anything, sometimes they just don't know what to do and become uncomfortable.

@jahaims I forgot to mention this in my answer. We usually get punished and ridiculed from the earliest of ages for the unwanted emotional expressions. Girls on the other hand... there is usually less people in the family unit and in society in general that will tell them to STFU and make fun of them for emotional expressions.
