What does it mean if he immediately hangs up, when I suggest hanging up the call?

I don’t understand it sometimes, we‘re long distance and he basically is the one who asks me to video chat, but then tells me to go to sleep or if I say we can hang up he immediately hangs up and doesn’t insist on talking more. What should I think about this? How should I communicate this with him?

You ask him to hang up and then you are complaining that he hangs up? Is that what I am getting here? What did you want him to do? Beg and plead with you to not hang up? Do that little dance of "No, you hang up... No, YOU hang up"? That happens in TV shows and movies and not in real life. You asked him to hang up so he does. What is the problem? If you don't want him to hang up then don't tell him to. Unless I am missing something huge here I don't know why anyone would be confused enough to post this online like it is some big mystery. To directly answer the question it means nothing at all since you just ask him to do something and he does it.

I get what you are saying! The long extended goodbye's, the "Me Too's". Go with your gut, maybe he not that into you, maybe that's his personality. Only you know the truth. I can't validate anything here.

In almost everything he just asks me what he should do or how I want him to be, that makes me feel like he doesn‘t put effort or has not that much interest. I would want him to ask if we could talk longer. And when he was here with me, he mostly was telling me to do something with our families rather than only us two alone
