Guys, Would you lie about your wealth to prevent women using you for money or are you too prideful to pretend you are less successful than you are?

I have not lied about it, but I have not flaunted it either.
Before I was married I generally would use my pickup on dates.
It was older, in good shape, clean inside but it was a truck that was used as a truck, not as a car.
Some did not care for it, others didn't care and some from the city thought it was cool.
Never went any place super fancy or expensive, just standard places to eat.
I would just say I was self-employed at first, so to some that was a red flag.
So, after a few dates if we went back to my house then the charade was over, but at least I knew why they might be interested in me.
Now it is pretty easy to do research and find out a lot about who you are dating, so it is a bit harder to plead poverty when it isn't true.
It is fairly easy to tell if someone is into you for the money, they expect you to pay, want to eat at fancy expensive places, they never buy/pay for anything, what this, want that, so then it is goodbye.

I figured the clever ones don't expect you to pay etc straight away? I lean they are essentially playing the long con right? I'm not an expert lol. Just why would men fool for it if the woman was so obvious about it?

probably looking to get laid, so even though they wouldn't pay for sex, in a way they are.
Then it becomes too expensive, and they move on.

I'd say neither one :) I think if you're not all about money you'll most likely be with a woman who's also not all about money so it's not something I'm worried about. People tell you who they are through their priorities and actions and vibes. I haven't had to deal with this problem yet maybe in the future it'll be different but I'm not worrying about it for now :)

Well lots of men say they think women just after there money. And of course not obvious in the beginning. Cos if a woman is like that then she probably knows how to be all sweetness and charm and not show her true colours.

I am not wealthy but I have money and I get guys using me for money. So I wonder I'd I should act like I'm poor. But then.. I am proud of my savings and when I like someone I find it hard not to say hey look..

Well I don’t make a lot of money but I feel my job makes women think I make more than I do. I don’t really tell women how much I make until I been with for awhile or if they ask me.

But these types of girls target men with money and knpw how to be sweet and charming to not seem like it's about money? Hence if a man pretended he had less that would weed out those women? And he can later reveal he is better off once he knows the woman is not a gold digger. Right? But then it's hard to not be proud of how well you are doing? So pride can be a bad thing right?
